Collage Artist For Hire: Ordering Process
- Contact me to let me know you're interested in a photo collage
When you contact me, I will provide you with a contract to sign. This contract will explain the procedure and clarify the terms of
service. It is a binding agreement between both parties so please make sure you take the time to read it. Once you've read the contract
and signed it, put together your package (steps below) and mail the contract, along with your materials, to the address provided on the
contract.
- Choose A Theme
Tell me what you want the collage to represent; what story you want to tell. I will do our best to convey those thoughts into the
work. Tell me what you have in mind: colors, purpose of collage, background history on subject and/or event it is to be presented.
- colors: favorite colors, colors of the room in which the collage will be displayed, etc.
- background history: who is the person(s) in the photo, what is the story behind the objects you want included, etc.
- event or purpose: anniversary, birthday, graduation, Christmas, or "just because I love you," etc.
- Choose Memorabilia And Photos Wisely
Pick photos and memorabilia that are in good condition.
When choosing images, find photos that are:
- in focus
- not grainy
- not blurred
- don’t have water damage, etc.
- don’t have lighting issues (too dark or too bright)
Worried about originals? Send them with a signature release or make a copy of your photo and send the copy. If you send an original photograph
by a professional photographer, I will not need a signed release. If, however, you intend to make a copy of the original, please visit your
professional photographer and obtain a copy or request a release to duplicate.
When sending images on CD, make sure they are saved at 300 pixels or higher.
Don’t forget to remove all images from frames before mailing.
Photographs From Professional Photographers
If you use an image photographed by a professional photographer, a written letter of consent must be provided with the image before we can use the image.
- Deliver Your Photos
Send your package via United States Postal Service certified mail, Fed-Ex, or UPS.
- Make Your Payment
Before I can begin work on your collage, I need to receive payment.
If paying by cashier's check or money order, include it with the material above.
If paying by credit card, I will send you a link, via email, to a secure website to make payment.
- Await Arrival
Your collage will take a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks to complete.
This gives me time to create the work of art and/or order materials specific to your collage, if necessary.
