I believe the perfect photo isn’t always about the perfect lighting, the perfect setting, the perfect pose, the perfect facial expression, the perfect hair, or the perfect body. I believe the perfect photo is the one that captures the real you, and in the process reminds you of a very real moment in your life.

I believe in capturing your essence through normal, everyday activities. I'll follow you and yours around, snapping shots that record your true personality. Occasionally, I'll ask you to pose. Sometimes, I'll ask, "What would you like to do?" But mostly, I'll try to capture real moments—you doing "your thing". And I'll take lots of close-up head shots. I absolutely love headshots. Facial expressions alone can tell great stories.

I believe real moments can be anything from how one person interacts with another person to how you interact with nature and your surroundings. I believe real moments can be about observing the curiosity of a young child at play to observing an adult at work. I believe real moments can be about how someone reacts to a given set of circumstances. And I believe real moments can be about capturing parts of you and yours, like focusing in on your child's long, luxurious eyelashes; recording your baby's webbed toe (something that every male member of your family has); comparing the size of your hand to that of your toddler's, and so on...

I believe documenting your family's unique journey through life is a wonderful privilege and I hope you'll give me the opportunity to share those moments with you.
