Alyice Edrich is a freelance writer, editor, and web content writer.
As a virtual assistant, I have worked with individuals and businesses around the United States, including C&T Publishing, Flutters of the Heart, Invetek Inc., J. Davis Studio, Obadiah Press, and Empty Easel.
I've helped keep track of media exposure, maintain and update blogs, write business materials, write and distribute press releases, design and distribute company newsletters, respond to social media comments, help locate columnists and work with them to produce quality content, and handle other tasks as directed.
I've helped with the back-end of the office by compiling research material, creating data lists, and providing basic secretarial services on an as needed basis.
As a freelance writer, I've helped many small businesses with their written materials. I have helped with everything from proofing, editing, and tweaking pre-written content to writing web content based off client notes and research papers to writing original articles based off my own interviews and research. I've even designed step-by-step craft tutorials with step-out photos for Consumer Crafts®, Glue Dots®, and various craft blogs.
As the editor of an online magazine, I've conducted interviews, recruited writers, assigned stories, edited materials, updated the website, sent out notifications, and much, much more.
And during my stint as administrative assistant for Nutrilite® Products, I worked under the deparment manager and provided secretarial services to a staff of 9. I dealt with inventory control, budgeting, and vendor contracts and I performed general office duties: typing of letters, memos, reports, and inner-office materials, and event planning.
I've also worked as a sales associate, so I have a pretty well-rounded and versatile background... all of which can benefit the right company.

Handled everything from basic html coding of the website to innovative low-cost marketing to running the company: budgeting, customer service, recordkeeping, purchasing, inventory control, vendor contracts, invoicing, content management, public relations, and social media.
Before returning to freelance work full-time, the magazine received 40,000 monthly visitors, had 3 weekly e-zines boasting of 9,000 total subscribers, and acquired 12 new articles every month—all with no advertising budget.
