Billing, Policy, and Faqs
"Clearly, freelancing is not only a way of working, it's a way of
thinking. Learning to cope in the land of no benefits, no set pay check, and
no retirement plan works these people's imagination like a muscle. And a
pumped imagination, they say, is their trump card."
Time Frame
The time I devote to a writing project is unrecoverable, therefore there are no refunds for any work performed. But don't worry! I work on a close basis with my clients to make sure that every project is developed according to his or her satisfaction. Payments Accepted By Payments may be made via the following options:
Canceling Projects Once I have begun work on the project, any down payments are non-refundable. While you are welcome to end our contract at any time, you will be held liable for payments of any work done up to the point that our contract ends. If you decide to cancel a project, for any reason, after it has been started you will be billed for any unpaid hours and/or expenses that I have incurred up to that point. PROJECT FEES Per Word Fees If you pay by the word, you are allowed two edits. After which, any revisions/edits will be billed at the hourly rate. Per Hour Fees Per hour fees are billable minutes/hours in which I work on your project. That includes, but not limited to, physical meetings, conference calls (phone, email, or instant messenger) as well as any study, background reading, and research time pertaining to work on your project. Hourly rates are billable in 15 minute increments, with a minimum of one paid hour. MISCELLANEOUS No Guarantees A web copywriter, freelance writer, or search engine optimizer cannot guarantee article acceptance, first place ranking, increased traffic, or increased sales; therefore, I will not make that statement. There are many factors that work together to help your business campaign reach success and I don't have control over anything but the project I work on. Having a budget to write your web copy or produce your marketing materials is only the first step. You must also have the budget to market your business―to let others know about your company by using traditional marketing methods, such as those mentioned below. It is not my responsibility to find you sales or bring traffic to your business. It is my responsibility to build a functional tool that helps you sell your product or service. You will still have to focus on traditional marketing tactics, such as cold calling, advertising in print, getting media coverage, and so on―all of which are the responsibility of the web owner. Project Rights: Ghostwritten Work As a ghostwriter, I require all writing contracts to include the following stipulations:
Ghostwriting Projects: As the copyright owner of the article, you have the right to use the ghostwritten article anyway you see fit without further compensation to me, the writer. That means you can claim ownership to the article by placing your company name or member of your staff as the writer of the article, you can use excerpts in advertising, marketing, and promotional campaigns, you can distribute it to another publication, or give it away to free content groups. I will not work on, promote, nor encourage the following: adult, alcohol, drugs, gambling, nudity, occult, profanity, sexual products, violence, weapons, or religious material that is against my religious beliefs. Thank you for stopping by and considering my services. |
